Date 2006 - 07 Many attempts during this period
Exposure LRGB = 250:30:30:30 minutes

Guiding ST-402 mounted on Takahashi Sky90
Binning L - 1x1      RGB - 2x2
Location SkyFoto observatory in East Hartland, Ct.
Notes NGC 5216, on the left, is interacting with NGC 5218. The faintly visible gas connector between them is in excess of 20,000 light years across while the distance from us is more than 100,000 million light years.

I don't believe I ever had so much trouble capturing a target as I did with this one. The weather was just always terrible and much of the data had to be discarded. I finally gave up on it and settled for the above.
