| Notes |
NGC
5216, on the left, is interacting with NGC 5218. The faintly visible gas
connector between them is in excess of 20,000 light years across while
the distance from us is more than 100,000 million light years.
I don't believe I ever
had so much trouble capturing a target as I did with this one. The
weather was just always terrible and much of the data had to be
discarded. I finally gave up on it and settled for the above.
