NGC
2841 is estimated to be 30 - 45 million light years away. This
image was made from truly old light. It is believed to be
about 1/3 bigger than our Milky Way galaxy. In
processing this image, I especially liked the way the outer arms showed
so predominately against the background. No substitute for lots of
data. |
